Thorn Crown Films focuses on developing true stories of redemption that reflect a Christian worldview, and bringing those stories to the public through documentaries, feature length movies, episodic shows, and any other available media formats. In a constantly shifting industry, we seek to become known for excellence and profitability in Christian media and entertainment.
Thorn Crown Films is dedicated to developing and producing film projects that encourage Christians in their faith while creating a financially viable opportunity for filmmakers to provide for their families. By consistently creating projects in the low budget and modified low budget range that are targeted to the Christian market, Thorn Crown Films will be strategically poised to be financially viable.
OUR PROJECTS
What makes a “Thorn Crown Film”? We base our decisions on which films to develop based on the following criteria:
- True life stories
- Period pieces
- Characters that common people can relate to, “That could happen to me.”
- Demonstrate God’s intended roles for people and authorities; strong fathers and mothers in proper roles
- Redemptive storytelling against the backdrop of a Christian worldview
- “Golden feel” – Demonstrates the abiding faithfulness of God; leave the viewer with a good feeling and wanting to see it again while also having been nudged toward God.
About
Joseph & Stacie Graber have been a film making team since 2011, when they first worked together as a husband and wife, director and producer team on Indescribable. Their film portfolio includes Bessie, What the Shepherd Saw, Indescribable, Christian School of the Andes Promo, and Breaking the Silence. They have also served on the judges panel for the Christian Worldview Film Festival in San Antonio Texas since its inception. Together, they present a unique blend of creativity and discipline that puts them in a strong position to envision film projects and successfully see them through production to distribution.
Thorn Crown Films, LLC is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) organized in the state of Colorado on the 7th day of July, 2016 by Joseph J Graber. Our primary business is the development, management, and production of film projects. The day to day operations are conducted by Managing Members, Joseph and Stacie Graber. For tax purposes the company is initially treated as a partnership of the members, which can be adjusted for accounting purposes.
Thorn Crown Films is initially funded through contributions of the founding members. Thorn Crown Films will participate in the profit sharing of the films we develop and produce thus allowing Thorn Crown films to continually reinvest its capital in developing new film projects.
We rely on the Members of Thorn Crown Films to choose film projects that match our mission and purpose, to choose experienced, qualified, appropriate producers and directors for each film project, and to provide encouragement and support for our management team.
